How to come to Rennes?

 

By plane

There are several direct flights to Rennes-St Jacques [RNS] airport from several French and European cities. Rennes airport is located 5 km south from the city centre. Low cost companies operate between Rennes and the UK during the summer period. Visit http://www.flybe.com/ and http://www.aerlingus.com.

From the Rennes Bretagne Airport, you can easily reach the town center by taxi service (10 minutes) or by bus (n°57, 20 minutes to République stop and metro to Sainte Anne station). You can find complete information here.

It is also possible to fly to Dinard from several locations in the UK, visit http://www.ryanair.com. Dinard is located on the north coast near Saint-Malo (65 km from Rennes). Train and bus services are available between Saint-Malo and Rennes.

If you are flying to Paris (Roissy Charles De Gaulle [CDG] or Orly [ORY] airports), the most convenient way to get to Rennes is by train (see below).

 

By train

There are several high-speed trains (TGV) every day from Paris, Lille and Lyon to Rennes. From Paris, the main train station is "Montparnasse". From Paris-Montparnasse train station, high speed trains will reach Rennes in 1h30- 2h. From 7h to 21h a train will leave Paris for Rennes almost hourly.

High speed trains are also available directly from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport. They reach Rennes in 2h30.

From the train station, take the underground direction J.F.Kennedy, get off at Sainte Anne.
